php - Text "stuck" to bottom in BASH -


i'm creating script in php run quite while in command line, echos quite bit of data.

so in bash i'm looking sort of progress or status bar of sort "stick" bottom of shell, i've seen done before know it's possible i've never messed around stuff this. display simple data such working, resting, stopping , ran x seconds.

can enlighten me on how this? script run in screen.

obviously need system calls.

something this:
