c - Very fast COM port read -


i'm reading com port @ high speed (3,686,400 b/sec). in order accomplish have read 512-byte blocks , increase timeout (to 1000) i'll whole block each time , not pieces of though i'm reading synchronously.

the problem: after few minutes of running , plotting results fine, i'm getting corrupted information. meaning still don't info @ pace want be, delayed.

this happens when i'm loading more on software running recording thread writes data file. resulting file shorter file expected, though not corrupted (its i'm getting beginning of transmitted data , not of it).

i know not sending device since reloading pc application while device still sends data reinitialized whole thing.

if matters, i'm using windows 7, intel core i3, 64-bit. writing in c code in cvi. reading com port using windows api.

any suggestions?
