iis 7 - Will an ASP.NET web application be temporarily unavailable while deploying via WebDeploy? -

i using publishing functionality in visual studio 2010 publish asp.net web app iis 7.5 server, via web deploy. server windows 2008 r2 server web deploy 3.0 , web management service installed. deploying using server's local administrator account (it not part of domain). curious whether or not application/site should continue available users while deployment in progress?

the web deploy functionality has worked great far, did error report user other day error message specified 1 of dlls required app not loaded, because in use process. error occurred during deployment.

everything have experienced , read far has lead me believe users should see no interruption of service during deployment, surprised see error. have tried scouring google, have yet turn information on particular scenario.

there no magic webdeploy does. yes, expected have downtime.

there ways have 0 downtime during update, discussed in another question. have additional tricks.

bonus

if reports user saying dll cannot found - have security flaw. never disclose such error details end user.
