api - SSML using Chrome TTS -


i'm trying give little more clarity tts sentences indicating emphasis, etc. i'm using chrome tts api, indicates accepts ssml-formatted documents in addition raw text.

after many attempts, , reading few comments on web, doesn't actually supported, or possibly individual voices implementation.

does know:

  • has ssml been abandoned under chrome?
  • if not, there indication whether expect support via native voice, or they're hoping else implement?
  • do chrome voices exist support this?

i'm chrome engineer. ssml support has not been implemented yet, it's planned. not engines support it, when implement ssml support we'll implement support stripping ssml engines don't support it.
