android - Animation overriding onNavigateUp's default one -


i launching activity overridependingtransition() right after it, can animation of incoming activity.

i want activity perform animation upon "leaving", have overriden onbackpressed() , works ok.

the problem comes, activity has "up navigation" enabled, on how perform animation when "up" navigation tapped --instead of button-- return previous activity.

i have tried

@override public boolean onnavigateup() {     overridependingtransition(r.anim.fadeinltr, r.anim.fadeoutltr);     return super.onnavigateup(); }

but not work, because time overridependingtransition() method called, there no transition override yet.

any ideas?

i had same problem , solved in way: 

@override public boolean onnavigateup(){     boolean x = super.onnavigateup();     overridependingtransition(r.anim.slide_in_right, r.anim.slide_out_right);     return x; }
