Mass migration of Crystal Reports from v10 to Visual Studio 2010 -

i have been tasked reviewing "sap crystal reports visual studio 2010" , "sap crystal reports 2011" standalone potential upgrade paths crystal reports v10.

i've installed extension visual studio 2010 (and went through common troubles of updating runtime viewer working) , can open report files , save them. consequently, "this report saved in previous version of cr, saving upgrade report file format" dialog. i've tested on couple of reports , conversion goes ahead smoothly , resultant file remains compatible our server software.

my problem have on 1,500 reports. i'd avoid opening each 1 in turn , saving/converting individually. there way convert report files in 1 fell swoop? means of scripting visual studio it, maybe?

notes:

  1. i've added every report file project , attempted save all... no dice.
  2. i must convert every single report now. it's not option convert need changes when need changes.
  3. my work network access locked down pretty tight. bureaucratic process utilities or tools installed on machine intense , must justified.
  4. we don't use features of cr standalone aren't shipped vs.

p.s. it's worth re-iterating i'm reviewing cr2011. i'll need same thing standalone designer too.

why not use windows powershell? i've written powershell wrapper around crystal reports sdk named pscrystal. goal make easier script mundane tasks encounter each day.

you should able adapt (sole) example suit needs. add more examples in near future. feel free project, if want.
