xml - S1000D Conditional Documentation Workflow -

my ojective setup s1000d conditional documenation workflow using suite of ptc apps shown below:

csdb s1000d (control station)
csdb s1000d (task station)
publisher s1000d
provisioning manager
parts catalog manager
lsa interface

the plan populate csdb (common source data base) modules going used building blocks technical manuals. once done, goal able ot build technical manuals using alias and/or container feature part of s1000d standard.

i want able perform conditional documentation operations changing source module located in csdb dynamically updates of modules linked it. question follows. conditional documentation capability i'm aiming best done using container feature or alias feature?

i appreciate hearing out there has s1000d knowledge relates how best perform conditional documenation dynamically linked single source module. in advance , info appreciated.

@jim garrison actually, type of programming, although it's exceedingly specialized.

before go further, you'll have to:

  1. identify issue of s1000d specification using.
  2. find project's brex module (specification tailoring) determine features of specification project using. there's no point working out complex solution containers if project disallows them.
  3. look @ documentation csdb see if handles containers. not of them do.

if looking information re-use, have common language appears in multiple places, may want technical information repository (for issue 3.0 , 4.0) or common information repository (for issue 4.1). if use facility combined applicability statements, may behavior think after.

Automatically create pages in phpfox -
