soa - Open source ESBs supporting web service transactions? -


do of major open source esbs such mule or servicemix support web service transaction specifications (like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ws-atomic_transaction)?

i've briefly looked seems support not good.

i use esb build macro services composing modular smaller services. think pretty typical use of esb, , don't see how can implement practical if don't have transactions.

ws atomic transaction not in list of supported ws-standards mule, no luck here.

in term of design, "transaction on soap" paradigm never took off. approaches likes stateful conversations idempotent retries , compensations people prefer when integrating services on http. sure more work flipping "transaction" switch on.
