task: looking develop webservice performs management operations on files such indexing, compression, streaming. file can text images video , manage all.

problem: after architectural discussion decided choose programming platform. comfortable wcf services , have had share of experience them , played them enough. other developers on team leaning more towards python , looking base service off flask or bottle

now have tried searching differences find how implement wcf using ironpython. language not problem learn , have time spend important right. speed , reliability of utmost importance , need advice or may few benchmarks show direction best.

additional info: we'll hosting service on aws we've got enough hardware requirements , not affected lack of scalability. db divided between nosql , relationaldb.
