uiviewcontroller - Set up view controllers like Find My Friends iPad app -


i want set view controllers find friends ipad app. based on i've found far, believe need to:

  • use container view controller
  • make tab bar controller root view controller of container view controller
  • add other view controllers, such split view controller, child view controllers tab bar controller
  • add sort of callback methods forward messages parent child view controllers (for rotation , appearance)

can please confirm on right track? also, if can point or add sample code me started, appreciate it.

you correct. 4 tabs on "find friends" ipad app split views. simple started app that. i'm not sure direction planning take far content, @ least layout. start new project in xcode , choose master-detail application. automatically setup split view left side table view , rightside detail view. presetup editing methods , nots. if using core data @ all, highly suggest starting checkmark well. luck app!
